Michael Browns Public Letter

Happy Easter All and thanks to those who made it out
for the Easter Eve festivities. Joe Gauthreaux for taking
3 planes, 2 trains and a bus to make it back on time from
a New Orleans gig and kick out an amazing ATLAS. Flava,
for hopping on board the event at the last minute this week to deliver
a surreal performance that amped up the Underwear Party's
energy and set the stage for Reflex. You're a marvel Markie.
Those glasses lol, I hope you save them for Anil to see.

...and then ALEXANDER. Nobody asked or expected anything
more than any other set Alex has given up in the past, but
obviously Alex decided last night was the night to RAISE THE BAR
and we were all lucky enough to be on board for the ride. "ON FIRE"
"BEST REFLEX EVER", was some of the chit AND chat, I heard around the
watercooler. All I know was in the first two hours, from Atlas ending
and all those boys scrambling to get clothed again through the hour it takes
to get all the Reflex customers off Robertson in....I found myself stopping and
standing still for a minute several times to confirm what I was hearing...and thinking,
ohmygod! I've never been one to hang out in the dj booth,
and there was no need to tell him to stay the course he was on,
I just waited til he was far enough in, and simply congratulated him.

I dunno, twas kinda inspiring. It's great to have our old laserist back,
Adam's Go-Go partner was H-O-T, and it was fun to see you guys reading
your new Reflex cards, watching your eyes light up when you saw
your name printed on them. And there's always the time spent looking after
those who over do it (BE CAREFUL GUYS!) But at the end of the day
after nearly (6) years there's only so much you can do to keep the experience
fresh. Then our very 1st Reflex dj strolls in and just kicks everyones ass with
a mind blowing set like that. It really sent the message home to me that the club
is, as it's always been, about the music first.

So thank you Alex, and everyone that came out to enjoy the ride you gave us.

XO,

- Michael
