INSTINCT'S BREAKING NEWS: A DIFFERENT LIGHT BOOKSTORE IN WEHO TO CLOSE ITS DOORS
LOS ANGELES, CA—February 24, 2009
After nearly 30 years in business in Los Angeles, A Different Light Bookstore on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood is closing its doors. A sign will go in the window on February 25th letting its customers know. A storewide sale aims to help the store move through the majority of its current inventory.
Bill Barker, ADL’s owner, spoke exclusively with Instinct writer Richard Hellstern earlier this evening to discuss the nature of the book business, the state of the economy, the gay community at large and what led to the demise of a marquee business in West Hollywood.
